Overview

Project Officer - Transformation at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH).

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia's leading public healthcare providers. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join RMH as a Project Officer to support the Pathology Network West transformation project.

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Officer to join the Pathology Network West (PNW) team. Working in collaboration with partner health services, RMH is leading a major transformation initiative to unify pathology services across the Parkville Precinct into a single, world-class public pathology network. • Maintain and update project registers (risks, issues, decisions) and assist in governance reporting and assurance reviews.
  • Prepare materials, schedule meetings/workshops, record actions, and track progress with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, supporting communication, engagement, and change readiness activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing PMO processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
About You

You are an experienced change professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Experienced in supporting projects or programs within large or complex organisations, ideally in transformation or change environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with exposure to project management and scheduling or reporting systems (e.g., MS Project) is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to support engagement with key stakeholders via various communication channels (e.g. email, minutes, reports).
  • Skilled in building effective relationships and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary with salary packaging and discounted on-site parking
  • Monthly ADOs, 5 weeks annual leave and leave loading
  • Flexible work options, including a hybrid working environment
  • Access to Health & Wellbeing programs including Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Staff Peer Support
