About The Role

The Senior Social Worker is part of a Multidisciplinary team which offers a broad range of systemic interventions to older people, families and carer. This position will involve direct therapeutic interventions, coordinating and consulting with internal and external stakeholders to improve patients experiences and outcomes, and service development.

As the Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical services to patient/client/consumer groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills and operate independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1/2 Social Workers, Allied Health Assistants & students on clinical placement as required.
• Involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services, development and leading of quality improvement activities and research with appropriate stakeholders.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
• The Level 3 Social Worker is responsible for providing a range of high-level assessment and therapeutic services in their identified specialty area, within scope, according to relevant models of care, frameworks and priorities. The clinician is able to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills and operate with minimal direct clinical supervision.
• Well-developed time management skills, written and verbal communication, and IT skills including an ability or willingness to use telehealth as a mode of delivery of clinical care.
• Please note that you must hold Australian working rights to be considered for this role.
