About the job:

As a Technology Business Analyst, you'll partner with internal stakeholders to assess technology needs, define requirements, and guide delivery models that enable SA Water to meet its strategic goals. You'll play a key role in business case development, translating opportunities into actionable technology solutions aligned with our enterprise architecture and corporate strategy.

You'll be involved across the full lifecycle of engagement from initial problem definition through to outcomes delivery ensuring our initiatives are business driven, sustainable, and strategically aligned.

You are a strategic business analyst who thrives on uncovering the "why" behind business challenges and turning insights into technology enabled solutions. You are an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships across teams and influence senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence. With a track record in agile environments and a passion for continuous learning, you bring a balanced blend of technical acumen and commercial awareness. your collaborative spirit and genuine drive to deliver value will make you a trusted partner in SA Water's pursuit of innovation and excellence.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will

  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders to understand business challenges and objectives
  • Elicit, document, and manage technology requirements throughout their lifecycle
  • Support business case development with strategic input across scope, risk, cost, and benefit dimensions
  • Ensure alignment with Technology Strategy and enterprise architecture principles
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams using agile and lean approaches

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Technology or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis including frameworks, modelling and project methodologies
  • Knowledge of relevant technology domains and business capabilities
  • Experience with agile delivery models and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Leadership experience and knowledge of water and wastewater systems (desirable)
