The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at Broadmeadows

You will be responsible for:

General Duties

  • Perform basic QC tasks to ensure parts meet business quality standards
  • Scanning, taking photos and labelling of automotive parts
  • Package and wrap parts for transport to warehouse
  • Load stillages with parts and stillage on to transfer truck
  • Assist with stock and consumables counts
  • Using scanners to ensure all parts are located correctly
  • Ensure parts are collected from Dismantlers in a timely manner
  • Ensure appropriate PPE worn and work area is kept clean
  • Assist in washing Engines, Transmissions and other parts
  • Assist in draining Fuel Buggies into allocated Fuel IBCs
  • General yard and forklift duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following:

Specialist Knowledge

  • MUST HAVE - Forklift licence
  • Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panels
  • Understanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisation

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in yard maintenance
  • Problem solving
  • Able to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to professionally represent the organisation
