Role

Senior Direct Support Worker, based in Rockhampton, to help us deliver exceptional outcomes to our clients. You will be providing our clients with a variety of supports including medications administration, personal care, transfers and mealtime assistance. You will also be overseeing the work of others to ensure they deliver high quality services, while supporting with administration involved in the day-to-day running of the programs.



Responsibilities
  • Oversee the work of others and lead a team to deliver high quality services
  • Provide support and personal care to clients with dignity and respect
  • Administer medications and implement health care plans
  • Assist with transfers and use mobility aids as required
  • Assist with mealtimes and daily living activities
  • Support program delivery including hands-on support and administration


Selection Criteria
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team
  • Experience in support work and providing high quality services to individuals with disabilities
  • Experience in general administration functions, such as records management
  • High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Suite and systems
  • Excellent organisational skills and willingness to learn rosters
  • Ability to use different types of hoists, slide sheets and other mobility aids
  • Positive response to challenging behaviours and restrictive practices
  • Administer medications and implement health care plans
  • Provide clients with personal care with dignity and respect
  • Provide support to teams with program delivery, including both hands-on support and administration
