About the Role
The Quality Manager leads the quality team through the Define, Design, and Execute phases of a project. You'll manage the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure work is done safely, correctly, and in line with company standards.
Reporting to the Quality General Manager, you'll make sure all quality work aligns with Woodside's policies and project standards (PMS and WMS). You'll oversee key quality plans such as the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Project Assurance Plan (PAP), and Project Verification Plan (PVP).

Position: Quality Manager (Quality Principal AU)
Location: Perth
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage high-performing quality team across project/contractor interfaces.

Define quality-critical roles and align competencies with execution needs.

Validate verification evidence for inspections, completions, VCR readiness.

Resolve engineering quality issues via RCA and governance.

Provide assurance on hold points, witnessing, contractor qualification.

Endorse waivers/deviations with Engineering and Contracts.

Assess supplier technical capability in bids and contract execution.

Support completions/handover readiness from a quality perspective.

Skills & Experience

15+ years in quality roles; 10+ years in management on major projects.

Strong knowledge: ISO 9001, IOGP frameworks, enterprise QMS.

Experience: audit governance, RCA, contractor performance oversight.

Governed PQP, PAP, PVP across execution phases.

Proficient: FTQ360, SiQ, Power BI, SAP, or similar systems.

Exposure to constructability, inspection, completions during construction/commissioning.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering/Quality/technical field – Preferred.
Trade + 15+ years QA/QC + formal QA training – Accepted.

Certified Quality Manager –Desirable.

International inspection certification –Essential.

Professional standing (CQP MCQI, CMgr, CEng) –Preferred.

Ongoing CPD aligned with company standards –Required.
