Overview

Security Officer - Part Time & Casual role at The Star Brisbane. Part-Time and casual positions on offer. Focus on creating a safe environment for the client and customers at all sites.

Responsibilities
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Identifying, reporting, and recording risks while on shift
  • Assisting customers with a variety of inquiries
  • Utilising strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Undertaking conflict resolution and de-escalation methods
  • Maintaining a complete understanding of workplace protocols including Emergency procedures
  • Regular foot and vehicle patrolling as well as CCTV monitoring
  • Responding to medical and security incidents
  • Delivering high quality, client focused security services
  • Coordinating with on‑call emergency or security services where needed
  • Working with site management and other security team members
  • Balancing proactive security work with strong client focus
  • Experience or understanding of Fire Safety and Security duties within healthcare or large multi‑disciplinary settings
  • Executing security operations with attention to improving efficiency and reducing risks
Minimum Criteria
  • Min. 2 years CCTV experience
  • Current Queensland Security License
  • Current Unarmed License
  • Current Crowd Control License
  • Current Monitoring License
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
  • Current Driver's License
  • Flexibility to work within a rotating 24/7 roster
  • High personal integrity and grooming standards
  • Ability to work events
  • Practical verbal and written communication skills
  • Incident management and reporting skills
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Well-developed client service skills
  • Customer service experience
