Overview

Recruitment Consultant | Construction & Engineering Specialist with RUD Australia. We are seeking an Application Engineer based in our Larapinta, Brisbane Head Office who takes pride in getting it right the first time with direct client engagement, thrives in an innovative environment, and applies a methodical approach to solving engineering challenges – both in technical design and when engaging with clients.

What We're Looking For
  • Develop and present conceptual designs, engineered solutions and proposals that are accurate, practical and aligned with client requirements
  • Apply engineering expertise across design, drafting, compliance and technical client support
  • Engage directly with clients across defence, mining, infrastructure and energy to clarify requirements, propose solutions and represent RUD's capabilities
  • Deliver CAD models, calculations and FEA reports using Solid Edge and Femap
  • Manage the full cycle of technical opportunities from concept and client pitch through to project delivery and close
  • Ensure all outputs strictly comply with engineering standards and quality systems
  • Support prototype testing, validation processes and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum five years CAD and design experience within mechanical engineering or metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge and Femap
  • Proven ability to engage with clients in a technical sales capacity, presenting engineered solutions and driving projects through to completion
  • Strong technical writing skills with demonstrated ability in calculations, compliance and engineering documentation
  • Logical, structured and detail-oriented approach with an unwavering commitment to precision and reliability
