Purpose of the role

  • Conduct on-site audits against standards such as ISO 14001, SMETA, ESG, GHG-related, and Sustainability reporting.
  • Provide expertise, produce audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions.
  • Promote BSI's product offerings and solutions to clients to improve their business performance and manage risk.
  • Support and contribute to the delivery of BSI's services aligned with its Sustainability strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities :

  • Lead and conduct sustainability and management system audits independently or in teams, following BSI requirements and our client promise.
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to clients.
  • Ensure clients understand audit decisions and provide clear guidance on corrective actions.
  • Recommend issuance, re-issuance, or withdrawal of certificates and verification statements, reporting in accordance with BSI policies.
  • Develop effective partnerships to secure business relationships and identify opportunities for growth and client satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate information to internal stakeholders, ensuring client records are maintained and all internal requirements are met.
  • Plan and schedule workloads to optimize time and revenue.
  • Coach colleagues and offer technical support as needed.
  • Maintain and develop auditing skills and knowledge of technical standards.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for BSI, promoting ethical behavior and company services.
  • Support business development initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Sustainability ANZ.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Represent the BSI brand effectively.
  • Schedule audits 3 to 6 months in advance, booking subsequent audits during current ones when possible.
  • Produce high-quality, accurate client reports promptly.
  • Complete reports within 5 days post-audit or before leaving the site for at least 50% of audits.
  • Identify and discuss new business opportunities with clients.
  • Exceed audit delivery targets and maintain high productivity.
  • Enhance skills and qualifications continually.
  • Contribute positively to the BSI team.
  • Aim for zero client complaints.
