Base pay range

A$38,000.00/yr - A$48,000.00/yr

Employment details
  • Part-time permanent opportunity, 24 hours per week
  • days and times: 24 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am-1pm, on Thursdays from 8.30am-1.30pm, and on Fridays from 8.30am-2pm
Responsibilities
  • Assist with efficient operations of Mosman Meals, including packing and distribution of individually packaged meals for delivery to clients
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at the highest level and in accordance with current food safety guidelines and regulations
  • Support Mosman Meals kitchen volunteers and assist the Food Services Coordinator with office duties including answering phone enquiries, taking referrals and keeping records up to date

About the Team and the Role

You will assist the Food Services Coordinator with efficient operations of Mosman Meals, particularly with packing and distribution of meals for delivery. You will ensure food safety and kitchen hygiene standards are maintained.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have an understanding of the needs and commitment to assisting older people and people with disability. You will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.

Knowledge of and experience in safe food handling practices, kitchen hygiene and stock control as well as experience working with volunteers will be highly regarded.

Please note, this position is subject to a National Police Check undertaken by Council in addition to Council's standard pre-employment checks.
