A rapidly growing leader in the retail services industry is looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee U.S. and Canadian accounting operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about compliance and process improvement, and enjoys leading high-performing teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes (U.S. & Canada)
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Support audits, SEC reporting, and tax compliance activities
  • Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 accounting professionals
  • Collaborate across departments to improve systems and processes

What You Bring

  • 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Bachelor's in Accounting + CPA required (MBA is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; exposure to revenue, lease, and equity accounting a plus
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems (Workday preferred)
  • Advanced Excel + strong analytical and communication skills
  • Leadership mindset with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
