Overview

Are you an experienced Controls Systems/Technician looking to join a dynamic team based in Mackay QLD? Your role's day-to-day functions will be varied as you cover projects ranging from mining conveyors to wastewater treatment facilities. You will provide engineering support for control systems in manufactured equipment, on-site support and commissioning of equipment controlled by PLCs and variable-speed drives. You will develop software, commissioning, testing, warranty work, and troubleshoot industrial automation systems. You thrive in hands-on roles and enjoy being actively involved in your work. You will be well supported as you grow your career. This position is located in Mackay QLD and is not a FIFO role. You will travel to client locations across Queensland and receive a competitive salary package that includes paid overtime. Join a friendly team offering monthly BBQs and an active social club.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for control systems in manufactured equipment, on-site support and commissioning of equipment controlled by PLCs and variable-speed drives.
  • Develop software, commissioning, testing, warranty work, and troubleshoot industrial automation systems.
  • Travel to client locations across Queensland as required.
  • Support projects ranging from mining conveyors to wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Be actively involved in hands-on work and collaborate with the engineering team.
What you'll bring
  • Strong understanding of PLC and SCADA systems, ideally with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • A positive approach to work and a willingness to learn.
  • An Australian-recognised degree or trade qualification.
