Responsibilities- Threat Monitoring: Conduct monitoring and analysis of security events across university systems.
- Incident Response: Investigate and resolve sophisticated cybersecurity incidents, from detection to resolution.
- Process Execution: Carry out and improve detection and response playbooks, ensuring comprehensive security coverage.
- Critical Issue Management: Quickly assess and escalate high-priority security threats, coordinating rapid response efforts.
- Hold university qualifications in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
- Experience in an operational security setting e.g. SOC, DFIR.
- Advanced knowledge of threat detection and incident response procedures.
- Experience handling complex security incidents from end-to-end in large organizations.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills for clear stakeholder communication.
