Job Description

Primary Responsibility: Under general supervision, the Warehouse Laborer will manually move freight, stock, and other materials. The Warehouse Worker will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food and non-food products.

What You'll Do
  • Manually load and unload freight in temperature-controlled warehouse and other locations as directed by management.
  • Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area.
  • Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
  • Check or count freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
  • Conduct operations promoting safety.
  • Participate in physical inventories as needed.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, possibly outside normal responsibilities.
Experience and Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and early mornings.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to interact well with others and respond to feedback.
  • Tools and Technology: Computer skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
  • Tolerance for environments with temperatures from –15°F to outside conditions.
  • Access elevated products up to 30 ft. and tolerate heights safely.
  • Stand for up to 5 hours, lift boxes up to 55 lbs., and carry products over distances.
