Are you an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor ready to take charge of a greenfield substation project in Melbourne?

If you're confident leading electrical works on-site, can hold your own in conversations with senior stakeholders, and have a sharp eye for quality and safety, this role could be your next big move.

A major contractor is delivering a new-build substation as part of a critical infrastructure upgrade in Melbourne. They're now looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day delivery on-site.

This is an 18-month contract, Monday to Friday with some Saturday mornings, and there's potential for an extension.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing all on-site electrical works for the substation – including HV cable installation, switchgear, earthing, and commissioning support
  • Coordinating crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery
  • Managing site safety, compliance, and quality, including toolbox talks and daily pre-starts
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders – including Project Managers, Engineers, and Client Representatives – to ensure alignment on timelines, scope, and technical detail
  • Providing regular progress updates and site reports, and addressing issues before they become problems

What you'll bring:

  • A current Electrical Licence
  • Proven experience supervising electrical or HV works on substations or similar infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards, HV safety procedures, and electrical installation best practice
  • Confident communication skills – able to liaise with both on-site crews and senior-level project stakeholders
  • A valid driver's licence and White Card

It's a bonus if you:

  • Have worked on greenfield substations or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Are familiar with delivery under Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
