This is an exciting time to join the Energy Group of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. Victoria is in the midst of a major energy transition, with new energy technologies, new industries and new ways of doing things. This Senior Project Officer role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment to harness State and Commonwealth investment to deliver real environmental and social benefits to Victoria's social housing renters. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and stakeholder management skills and an ability to drive simplicity from complexity and take a creative approach to problem solving.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate qualification in public policy, business, project management, environmental management or approved equivalent would be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in project/program management, Government processes and operations, especially in public sector program delivery would be desirable.
  • Understanding of the Victorian energy efficiency sector that relates to buildings and the residential/consumer sector is desirable but not essential.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 September 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
