Senior Project Officer

Background Our client, one of the largest Federal Government Departments, is searching for a Senior Project Officer to join an established, high-performing project team working on a large financial systems transformation program.
The role The Senior Project Officer will provide support to the Director in a variety of tasks, including group inbox management, task prioritisation, allocation and tracking and register management.
This is a dynamic role, and responsibilities will vary day-to-day, week-to-week.
About you Attitude is more important than aptitude for this role.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic self-starter who is comfortable working in a varied and fast-paced environment.
As this role is working on a team involved in a large finance system transformation, any exposure to finance and accounting and/or large systems transformations projects would be highly regarded.
Experience working in the public sector will be highly regarded.
Above all, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate initiative,bring a solution-mindset to problems and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up to get things done.
What's on offer This is a contract role, with an initial term through until 30 June, 2026 with potential for further extensions.
We're targeting a pay rate of between $700-900 per day, but can be flexible foran outstanding candidate.
