Sleep and Settling Maternal and Child Health Nurse

Ongoing Part Time - 3 days per week

Rates of Pay Range: $58.15 - $62.87 per hour + Super

Location: Croydon / Ringwood

As a Maternal Child Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, social/emotional, and cognitive wellbeing of infants, children, and families. You will deliver our established and evidence-based sleep and settling program, ensuring that it aligns with the guidelines and policies of the Department of Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the sleep and settling day stay program with appropriate referrals
  2. Provide informed information sessions and outreach appointments
  3. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation as per sleep and settling initiative guidelines
  4. Manage and triage referrals from Universal and EMCH nurses to S&S program. Determine most appropriate support for families and allocate to a program.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Family Health Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma of Nursing Science in Child Family and Community Nursing
  2. Current registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency register
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Knowledge and understanding of family partnerships, child development, and behaviour
