About the Role

This role requires a deep understanding of JATO and expertise in analysing vehicle specifications within Australia and New Zealand markets. You will be a vital part of the Product team, collaborating closely with the Head of Product and Product Manager to ensure our product portfolio aligns with customer needs. Your responsibilities will include producing comprehensive reports, analysing market trends, and providing insights to support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities
  • Utilize JATO and other relevant databases to collect, analyze, and maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle specifications for the Australia and New Zealand markets.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to understand the requirements and preferences of customers in the region.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and consumer preferences in the automotive industry specific to Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide insights on how market dynamics impact product specifications and features.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure the product portfolio meets the evolving needs and expectations of customers in the region.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for enhancements and adjustments to the product lineup.
  • Produce spec sheets based on CFLs as required.
  • Physical spec check of first vehicles on arrival.
  • Ensure product/spec accuracy in all Product Marketing materials.
  • Draft product reports for pricing discussions including product information (spec walks), segment information (bubble charts), competitor information (spec comparison tables) and PVA's.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on vehicle specifications, market trends, and competitive analyses (PVA's). Present findings clearly to facilitate decision-making.
  • Pro-active market intelligence: monitor new competitors/price changes and produce PVAs as soon as any new relevant competitor model appears.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering, to ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Act as a liaison between Product Management and other departments to facilitate effective communication.
  • Review marketing materials (brochure, website, etc.) for product accuracy and provide initial feedback.
  • Lead the VIA registration process for test/evaluation cars.
  • Assist with vehicle readiness/registration process if required for new product launches.
  • Vehicle testing: test new vehicles/models and provide feedback as required.
  • Participate in events as product representative when required.
  • Produce product materials for events if required.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Proven experience in automotive analysis with a focus on the Australia and New Zealand markets
  • Strong proficiency in utilizing JATO and other automotive databases
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
