About the opportunity
A great opportunity presents itself for a motivated and result orientated Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance, you will use your expertise and experience to provide quality financial accounting and reporting services within internal corporate governance framework.

This is full-time, permanent opportunity that is available for immediate commencement.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform and co-ordinate month end closing journals and balance sheet reconciliations within scheduled month end timeframes.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts of allocated business units in collaboration with respective managers. Report financial variances to budgets and forecasts.
  • Company Treasury duties: Daily Cash and Investment reporting, initiating term deposit investments, maintaining sufficient cash in operating bank accounts, co-ordinating changes to bank users and credit cards; and co-approve weekly bank payments.
  • Fringe Benefits Tax: FBT accounting, quarterly estimating for BAS, preparation and lodging return. Including ensuring compliance with changes and technical research.
  • BAS: Preparation, reporting, lodging GST monthly. Including ensuring compliance with changes and technical research.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support for company secretarial function including co-ordinate ACNC and ASIC annual report lodgements. Technical research on complaince when required.
  • Learn to perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management functions in order to support them with queries and issues.
  • Assistance in Managing the AR and AP function and supporting payroll when required.

Above all, you will be a driven individual who excels in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and is looking to sink their teeth into a new challenge

To be considered for this role you will possess:
  • Minimum 5 years related experience;
  • Degree-qualified, have gained membership or progressing towards (CA, CPA, IPA);
  • Passionate about accuracy with high attention to detail;
  • Organised and excellent time management skills to meet finance deadlines;
  • Attitude of continuous improvement;
  • Skilled at communication both verbal and written;
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team;
  • Confidently adaptable to any accounting system environment;
  • Demonstrate a strong eagnerness to enhance skills in interpreting business unit performance and contributing meaningful insights to drive value.
