Datacenter IT Technician Trainee (12 months), Data Centre Operations, Sydney

Overview

You will work with the world's largest computing infrastructure and learn the daily operations of a large data center, troubleshooting hands-on with servers and network equipment. There is collaboration with multiple teams to complete tasks and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problems
  • Perform basic level OS troubleshooting
  • Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting
  • Perform replacement of parts and devices
  • Perform storage media (HDD, SSD, etc.) sanitization and destruction tasks
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets
  • Follow DC operations, logistics, security and safety related processes and guidelines
  • Practice and enforce Amazon's Security and Safety best practices
Basic Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and their configurations
  • Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge
  • Ability to lift and rack equipment with lifting equipment
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel between sites
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma at University or TAFE
  • Linux knowledge
  • Networking knowledge
  • Passionate about IT infrastructure and hardware
