Tradesperson Fitter

Applications are open for a Tradesperson Fitter to join the Maintenance Department at Nyrstar Port Pirie. The role is responsible for breakdown repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment and plant on site. This is a residential role based in Port Pirie, South Australia working on a 5/4 roster (days only). The roster is 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off, providing more days off and two full weekends off per month. Relocation to Port Pirie is part of the package, including support for the transfer of household belongings, provision of temporary accommodation on arrival, and a relocation allowance of $5k to assist with moving-related expenses.

• Relevant Trade Qualification (minimum Certificate III)
• Heavy industry, mining, smelting or similar experience is highly regarded
• Self-motivated, reliable, able to work effectively under pressure and a team player
• Additional qualifications in Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Confined Space and Working at Heights are highly regarded
