About Us

HNEMH provides a wide range of mental health services across the Hunter New England Health district, supported by over 1,600 staff. Our care spans from early intervention to inpatient and community-based recovery services, with a commitment to person-centred care, research, and education across disciplines.

Locations
  • Manning Mental Health Service (Taree) – inpatient care at Manning Hospital and community services
  • Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service – inpatient care at the Mater Mental Health Centre (Waratah) and community services across Newcastle and Charlestown
