ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team and support the Finance Business Partner in delivering effective financial management across our operational departments. This is a 12-month contract - full-time hours.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong financial acumen, clear communication skills, and a proactive mindset. You'll be confident in interpreting and presenting financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and you'll always be on the lookout for process improvements and value-adding opportunities. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are key, as you'll be ready to tackle tasks both within and beyond your usual scope.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you'll contribute to a range of core finance activities, including:

  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing journals and month-end entries
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Supporting internal and external financial reporting
  • Communicating financial insights clearly to stakeholders across the business

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with a strong operational finance background and the following:

  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, trades, or service-based industries
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Power BI (or similar reporting tools) experience is a plus
