We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. The Role

As an Special Needs Education Assistant suitable applicants will work with students with various educational needs due to disability, learning and social difficulties, as well as assisting in the differentiation and delivery of planned educational programs.

Suitable applicants will ideally have professional knowledge and experience of working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), students from backgrounds in which English is an Additional Language (EALD), behaviour and engagement needs, sensory needs, and those requiring mental health support, amongst other special needs.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
