Principal Consultant | Investments, Capital & Asset Management

Associate Director – Private Credit

A leading institutional private credit platform is looking to appoint an Associate Director to help originate, lead execution and manage credit investments in their Real Estate team. The firm is known for its disciplined investment approach, deep relationships across the market, and strong track record of delivering capital solutions to borrowers and consistent returns to investors.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established and growing private credit team where you'll gain exposure to some of Australia's most sophisticated credit deals. You'll be part of a close-knit and collaborative culture that values rigour, integrity and long-term partnership.

Key Responsibilities

This is a high-impact role that blends origination support, execution, and active portfolio management across senior, unitranche and mezzanine debt.

Origination & Execution

  • Support senior directors with origination efforts, from pre-deal screening through to financial modelling and investment submissions
  • Oversee and mentor analysts and associates to drive high-quality deal execution
  • Assist with legal negotiations, settlement processes, and ensure smooth onboarding for new deals
  • Actively manage deal pipeline systems to ensure capital deployment is accurately tracked
  • Ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met across the portfolio
  • Lead preparation of asset review templates and credit memos for consents or waivers
  • Proactively manage covenant monitoring and watchlist investments to mitigate risk
  • Attend credit and portfolio committee meetings, contributing to broader team decisions

About You

  • 6–10 years' experience in Real Estate private credit, leveraged finance, corporate banking or structured debt
  • Strong Real Estate financial modelling and credit writing skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage sponsors, legal advisers and internal stakeholders
  • Exposure to mid-market lending or sponsor-backed deals highly regarded
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
