People & Culture Business Partner at Focus Partners Australia. This role is a trusted advisor to leaders and teams, providing operational HR support to drive organizational performance. It focuses on delivering HR support across all business lines nationally and delivering people initiatives across growing businesses. This is a hands-on, rewarding, high-impact role requiring collaboration, energy, empathy, and clear communication, with experience presenting to groups of various sizes. This role is located in Sydney, Australia or Melbourne, Australia.
Primary Responsibilities- Review and develop streamlined HR processes and procedures across the organisation.
- Coordinate the employee lifecycle, ensuring documentation and HR processes are compliant and that employee records are accurate.
- Support leaders with first line ER/IR matters including grievances, investigations, performance management, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Manage promotions, bonuses, and HR documentation; regularly engage with business lines to maintain a strong HR presence and compliance with internal procedures.
- Redesign and manage the recruitment and onboarding processes across business lines.
- Deliver performance review training, support leadership capability building and career development/pathing programs as needed.
- Support the rollout of the annual performance review program and assist managers in developing and retaining high-performing teams.
- Support the design and rollout of the annual compensation framework and incentive plans.
- Lead monthly reporting, contribute to senior leadership meetings, and support strategic initiatives and tender submissions aligned with business objectives.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years HR generalist experience within finance (Wealth Management preferred).
- Strong business partnering ability with a focus on building trusted relationships to achieve and influence positive business outcomes.
- Proven ability to implement and facilitate seamless HR processes across various business lines.
- End-to-end experience with annual business activities such as performance and remuneration reviews, KPI development, etc.
- Track record of building initiatives that bring people together across functions and multiple sites.
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between A$150,000-$160,000. Actual base pay could vary based on experience, subject matter expertise, location, and other factors. The base pay is one component of total compensation, which may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
