Join Boral's Quarries team as an Operations Manager – Quarries, where you'll play a key role in driving sustainable business performance, safety leadership, and long-term growth across our quarry operations. Reporting to the General Manager – Quarries, this role is all about supporting our people, our assets, and our customers while ensuring we continue to build something great.
In this role, you'll be driving a Zero Harm culture across the region, inclusive of the following quarries: Macksville, Talbragar, Terramungamine, Beryl, Byrock, Teven, Johns River, Orange, Currabubula, and Grafton, ensuring that Boral Quarry Operations meet all safety, environmental and legislative requirements.

Your day will involve:
- Supporting the General Manager – Quarries with the region's operational, financial, and performance outcomes.
- Developing and delivering quarry development plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Leading and managing key improvement projects to drive consistency and operational excellence.
- Overseeing quarrying assets and capital investment planning in collaboration with the Asset Manager. Ensures Safe, Compliant, Reliable and Optimised assets.
- Providing support and expertise to Quarry Managers and Supervisors to optimise performance.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, community groups, government, and industry associations.
- Promoting a culture of Zero Harm, continuous improvement, OEE and Operational Excellence (Boral Production System) practices.
- Driving business development strategies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and exceed customer service expectations.
- Leading people processes including succession planning, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Ensuring environmental compliance and safety remain front of mind across all operations.
- Extensive travel across quarry sites throughout NSW.
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualifications in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years' experience in Quarry Management and/or Operations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Demonstrates commercial and business acumen to support market growth
- Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and achieving results.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to multiple quarry sites across NSW.
