Overview

Clinical Nurse Consultant - Cancer Services - Griffith is a permanent full-time role with NSW Health, based at Griffith Base Hospital in Cancer Services. Remuneration: $126, $129,314.15 per annum (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable). Applications Close: 10 September 2025.


Responsibilities
  • Leading practice development and policy implementation
  • Providing clinical supervision and mentorship to nursing staff
  • Delivering specialised nursing care and support to patients and families throughout their cancer journey
  • Engaging in education and research activities to advance cancer care

About You
  • Act as a role model and expert in cancer nursing
  • Support patients in navigating investigations, treatments, and referrals
  • Provide expert advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and attend MDT meetings
  • Coordinate patient and carer education
  • Lead the development of evidence-based nursing practices

Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in cancer care
  • Postgraduate qualification in oncology nursing (minimum Graduate Certificate/Diploma), or working towards a Master's degree
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and leadership in cancer care
