Overview

Our client, Pursuited Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, is seeking an ambitious Intermediate or Senior Accountant, keen/open to a pathway to Partner one of the job locations with accounting practices across NSW and QLD and flexible office locations to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be comfortable working with leadership and being exposed to key decisions being made
  • Collaborate across the entire company while understanding the importance of autonomous work
  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for all group members (trusts, companies & individuals), and provide business advice such as tax planning
  • Be results driven, process and efficiency-minded, and demonstrate care for clients
  • Manage your own workflow
  • Delegate work to other team members to ensure workload is appropriate for a high skill level
  • Work through deadline-driven periods, with a supportive, team-oriented environment
Key Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping or audit or business advisory services (ideally within a chartered accounting environment)
  • Strong team player
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and data manipulation
  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop relationships across areas of the business and with external partners
  • Forward-thinking mindset in general accounting and administration support
