The Opportunity

Our Personal Carer & Engagement Workers (PCEWs) or Lifestyle Assistants are highly interactive, supporting our elderly residents, their families, and colleagues 7 days a week across AM, PM, and Night shifts. This role based at Edge Hill involves working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams to perform resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner, surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines the duties and accountabilities for this role, commonly called 'Lifestyle' in the Aged Care sector.
About You
At Infinite Care, we hire for heart. Our best people are highly empathetic, have a strong work ethic, and are passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and can think on your feet, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers. Additionally, you will:
- Possess a qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) (preferred), or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or be a nursing student or have an educational background related to the role.
- Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or be willing to obtain it, as it is essential for working in the Aged Care sector.
- Have excellent safety awareness to prevent residents from tripping, falling, or hurting themselves.
- Demonstrate a positive teamwork attitude, be a trusted co-worker, manage time effectively (including handovers), and follow strict safety procedures.
- Be passionate about making a difference and committed to delivering quality care services daily.
- Display a positive, fun, and confident personality to encourage residents, who may sometimes be shy, to participate in lifestyle and group activities.
