Welcome to AngloGold Ashanti's virtual experience.
This virtual experience is designed for the Graduate Geotechnical Engineering role at AngloGold Ashanti Australia and comprises three questions. Questions 1 and 2 relate to the collection of geotechnical data and Question 3 deals with the understanding of a geotechnical hazard when excavating underground.

What skills will I gain?Calculating RQD and Q values
Using cablebolts in underground excavations
Understanding geotechnical hazards when excavating underground
Module 1: Calculating RQD and Q values(1 - 2 hours)
Collecting data from core logging to calculate the Q-value.
Module 2: Using cablebolts in underground excavations(45 minutes - 1.5 hours)
Calculating the number of cablebolts required for an intersection
Module 3: Understanding geotechnical hazards when excavating underground(30 minutes - 1 hour)
Determining the risks associated with different tunnel roofs
