Workshop Repair & Service Technician/ General Hand – Concrete Tools & Site Equipment

Canning Vale | Monday–Friday | Long-Term Opportunity

TRG Workforce's client is a supplier of concreting tools and equipment and currently has a vacancy for a mechanically minded technician for their Canning Vale-based workshop. This role suits someone with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and taking pride in getting gear back to job-ready condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults on a range of power tools and concreting equipment (cordless, electric, petrol, and hydraulic)
  • Liaise with internal sales teams and external customers to clarify repair needs and turnaround expectations
  • Communicate with suppliers to source correct parts, pricing, and technical information
  • Manage and maintain stock levels of frequently used parts and consumables
  • Disassemble, test, and rebuild equipment to manufacturer specifications
  • Use manuals, schematics, and online resources to support repair work
  • Perform electrical testing, soldering, and rewiring where needed
  • Maintain accurate job tracking records and assist with quoting or reporting
  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with WHS standards

What You'll Need:
  • Mechanical or electrical repair experience (small engines, power tools, or plant preferred)
  • Ability to work with a variety of tools, voltmeters, test equipment, and diagnostic processes
  • Confidence or willing to learn how to read technical manuals or parts diagrams
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain (advantageous)
  • Computer literacy — for job logging, supplier coordination, and parts management
  • Good communication skills — verbal and written
  • Current driver's licence and transport
