The Role

Our Federal Government client requires a Procurement Officer to assist with the procurement of Security Equipment, supporting a global security asset refresh project.

  • Monitor and support procurement activities, providing advice and support for basic to complex procurement processes.
  • Assist in preparing procurement approval documentation, including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds, and entering into Arrangements.
  • Provide high-level customer service to internal clients and stakeholders, engaging Agency representatives proactively and seeking feedback.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers, effectively managing contract inquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks, and negotiations as required.
  • Prepare and manage government contracts, both simple and complex.
Requirements
  • At least four years of experience working within Government Procurement.
  • Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
  • Experience overseeing public sector procurement activities.
  • Ability to analyze suppliers, markets, products, and service categories to inform procurement planning.
  • Provide advice on the most suitable security procurement approaches.
  • Assist in administering tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval.
  • Support oversight of contract administration activities and monitor contract management plans.
