Overview

RAAFA HomeCare in Perth, WA is seeking Qualified Community Support Workers for casual and part-time pool vacancies in the Perth Metropolitan Area. The organisation is committed to care, respect, and independence for older Australians, delivering in-home and residential aged care services through RAAFA HomeCare and Seniors Living estates.

Responsibilities
  • Work with clients across the Perth Metropolitan Area.
  • Assist clients with personal care with respect and dignity.
  • Provide support to clients by assisting with shopping, meal preparation and transportation.
  • Carry out domestic tasks to ensure the client's home environment remains clean and organised.
  • Support clients socially and domestically while creating a positive rapport.
  • Encourage and promote independence and freedom of choice.
  • Support with extended respite services when needed.
What You Need
  • Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care or equivalent (essential).
  • Previous experience in Community Aged Care (preferred).
  • A valid driver's licence with access to your own vehicle.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate to older people with empathy and understand their needs.
  • Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
  • Enjoy building positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one.
  • Be up to date with COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.
