We have a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead the Planning & Assessment business as the Service Line Director. The Planning & Assessment Service Line provides multi-disciplinary consulting services to support our clients and meet sustainability and project goals. Our team provides services across industry including renewables, infrastructure, mining and built environment spaces. You will be well connected in the industry, able to bring many disciplines together by collaborating effectively with others and have excellent commercial acumen. You will be able to demonstrate you can comfortably connect with other senior leaders to help them in areas of Clients, People & Culture and WHS. We are seeking a positive role model for all staff who supports the SLR 'One Team' culture and genuinely care about the wellbeing of their team.
Responsibilities- Lead a multi-disciplinary team, day-to-day operations, and nurture and grow technical discipline diversity and key client relationships.
- Play an important organisational leadership role, setting standards in client service and quality, fostering constructive collaboration, and championing SLR values.
- Strategise and implement business development and marketing efforts to diversify the Service Line, grow a sustainable high performing business and boost SLR's brand recognition.
- Ensure Operations Work in Hand (WIH) pipeline is accurately reported and actively managed.
- Prepare annual Service Line budget (for approval by Regional Manager) and manage Operations working capital in line with targets.
- Collaborate with other Service Lines and Regional Service Line Directors to balance workload and enable efficient cross-discipline coordination across the region.
- Work with Regional Sector Leaders to prioritise work-winning activity in line with Sector and Client priorities.
- Contribute to the regional business plan, including risk assessment, growth opportunities and resourcing requirements.
- Promote SLR Health and Safety culture through proactive safety leadership and staff engagement.
- Focused on People and sustainability with a purpose-driven mindset.
- Established network in the APAC region with a track record of strategic business growth and client relationship management.
- Experience across a diverse range of industry sectors and clients; strong commercial acumen, good organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Post-graduate qualification(s) advantageous; understanding of project management and financial management processes.
- Ability to mentor staff, set clear career development paths, and lead commercial aspects of proposals.
- Willingness to travel interstate.
