Our mission is simple: Driving Net Profit with Zero Emissions. Everything we do is guided by our core values:

  • Aim high
  • Act now
  • Always be curious

Our services span carbon accounting, climate risk assessments, decarbonisation strategies, stakeholder engagement, and more. You can find a full list on our webpage.

We value diversity and inclusion. We welcome applicants of all gender identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences, and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, included and empowered to contribute.

Position overview

This position involves leading and delivering climate-related projects that support organisations in disclosing and managing their climate risks. You'll take responsibility for coordinating projects, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes, while also contributing directly to the development of carbon footprints, climate risk assessments, transition plans, and reporting content.

The role is full-time (or at least 30 hours per week), with flexible working arrangements and strong team support. You'll work closely with consultants and senior leaders to shape and implement carbon reduction strategies for leading organisations across Australia.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, timeline, budget, and client communications
  • Contribute directly to the delivery of project content (e.g. emissions inventories, climate risk assessments, transition plans, and climate-related disclosures)
  • Facilitate and support climate risk and opportunity workshops
  • Coordinate task allocation and monitor progress across project team members and external contributors
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored climate and carbon solutions
  • Draft and review written deliverables such as reports, dashboards, and presentation materials
  • Support scenario analysis and data interpretation aligned with AASB S2
  • Work collaboratively with consultants to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery
  • Provide guidance to our consultants and manage task-specific team members where needed
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered to a high standard
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and business development, and contribute to refining internal delivery approaches

Essential qualifications and experience

We welcome candidates who may not tick every box but have the right mindset, passion, and foundation. If this role resonates with you, we encourage you to apply.

  • Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business, risk or related field
  • Previous experience in project management (formal PM qualifications not essential)
  • Solid understanding of carbon accounting and climate-related risks
  • Familiarity with AASB S2, TCFD, CSRD, or similar climate risk disclosure frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, coordinate teams and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with consultants and analysts, and lead collaborative work
  • A positive outlook, flexible mindset and commitment to continuous learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Desirable experience
  • Familiarity with Climate Active, NGER, or CDP
  • Understanding of transition risk scenario frameworks (e.g. IPCC, NGFS, IEA)
  • Experience facilitating workshops or stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
  • Governance of climate-related risks and opportunities

Work location and hours
  • Work from anywhere in Australia, or from our Sydney office at the Greenhouse – your choice
  • Full-time preferred, but part-time arrangements (minimum 30 hours per week) will be considered
  • Flexible hours, outcome-focused culture
