About the role

Permanent part-time opportunity to act as a clinical and educational resource, providing expert clinical knowledge and care for consumers/patients with various conditions. Supports the general function of units through role modelling, application of best practice principles, education, leadership, and portfolio management.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values:

  • Practice in accordance with the code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
  • Integrate nursing and healthcare knowledge, skills, and abilities by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities for self and others.
  • Deliver cost-effective workplace training, development, and education to nurses/midwives within the clinical environment in collaboration with the Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager. This may include unit induction, staff transition, assessments, mandatory skills training, and maintaining training records.
