This is a Permanent Full Time / Part Time or Fixed Term Full Time/Part Time appointment with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. You may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. Referees may be contacted to comment on integrity and past demonstrated ethical behaviour. Adverse information will be considered as part of the appointment process.

While this selection process will initially fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may be selected from this process. These options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date the recruitment decision is endorsed.

Position Profile

The Pharmacy Technician participates in drug distribution services, inventory control, dispensing, stores procedures, PBS claim processing and undertakes specific duties as required.

• E1 Demonstrated relevant pharmacy experience including drug distribution, dispensing or manufacturing services and knowledge of PBS.

• E4 Interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, ability to work flexibly in a team and independently.
• E5 Current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Risk Management, including safe handling of general loads.
• Details of two work-related referees, one being your current supervisor or manager.
