Overview

Principal Information Systems Auditor – fixed term or permanent, full-time or part-time. Location: Perth. Salary: Level 6 - $120,457 to $132,753 per annum plus superannuation. Pool created for full/part-time, permanent/fixed-term vacancies for up to 12 months; permanency may be possible. Closing date: 8 September 2025 at 12 noon (WST).

Audit for impact – do you have a passion for improving information and technology governance and cybersecurity? We are seeking experienced professionals to strengthen state and local government information and technology governance, information and cybersecurity practices. Our Information Systems Auditors scrutinise the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes, information systems and technology.

This is an opportunity for someone passionate about driving systems assurance, governance improvements and working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and supervising all aspects of complex information systems audits
  • Evaluating and enhancing technology governance and security controls
  • Auditing information systems to identify vulnerabilities and information security gaps
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve quality outcomes
  • Overseeing the work of specialist auditors and external contractors
  • Managing a variety of internal and external stakeholder expectations
Qualifications and requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and certification of an appropriate professional body (CISA, CISM) is required
  • Two referees, with one being a current line manager (referees may be contacted if progressing to recommendation stage)
  • Application requires: a current comprehensive CV; a 2-page statement outlining suitability and alignment with the work-related requirements in the attached JDF; and a copy of your qualification
  • Applicants for permanent positions must be Australian Citizens or permanent residents at the time of applying
  • Security screening will be conducted, including a national police clearance; an Australian Government Security Clearance may be undertaken if required
