About the Role

CareSouth is looking for a permanent, full time Caseworker tojoin our location, NSW team working from our new purpose built, andfamily focused space.

As a Caseworkeryou will be a part of a team which works dynamically across thechild protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanencysupport, restoration and adoption.

The successful applicant will have:

• Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, youngpeople and people with a disability.
• Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in SocialSciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerablechildren and their families.
• Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolutionskills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a highperforming team.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effectivecommunity networks.
• Demonstrated high level verbal and written communicationskills.
• Understanding and commitment to Equal EmploymentOpportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and theNSW Child Protection system.
• Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a(NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and/or (ACT)Working with Vulnerable People Card and NDIS WorkerClearance.
