Experienced Home Care Support Worker - Cessnock & Surrounds. Join to apply for the Experienced Home Care Support Worker - Cessnock & Surrounds role at Bendigo Advertiser.

We invite you to support elderly customers (65+) to live independently at home in Cessnock and surrounding suburbs: Aberdare, Allandale, Bellbird, Branxton, Ellalong, Kitchener, Laguna, Oswald, Pelton, Rothbury.

Requirements
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car (no international licences or shared/rental vehicles).
  • 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting.
  • Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday (2 weekends a month).
  • Travel is required for training. Commitment to the paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start.
  • This role is NOT a vacancy for Disability or to work in a facility/nursing home.
Role details
  • Open to Experienced candidates
  • Permanent Part-Time or Casual contracts
  • Contract hours: 20-40 hours per fortnight + flex up hours
  • Hourly rate: $ $34.16 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
What you'll be doing
  • Provide domestic assistance (cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and meal preparation).
  • Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, medication assistance, and social supports such as transportation for clients.
  • Be a friendly face and brighten someone's day.
