We have an excellent opportunity to join our Banking and Financial Services Privacy Office as a Privacy Manager. Our team sits within the Line 1 Risk Management function, overseeing compliance with the Macquarie Group Privacy Policy and regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the privacy risk governance framework across the Banking and Financial Services group at Macquarie.

What role will you play?

You will work with stakeholders across Macquarie to analyze risk scenarios and provide advice on privacy issues. You will support project stakeholders in Privacy Impact Assessments, act as an escalation point for privacy incidents, and manage incident processes. You will oversee regulatory changes impacting privacy, prepare governance reports, and support compliance through policies, training, and reporting. Additionally, you will review privacy risks and controls across retail banking and wealth products, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams to manage privacy risks effectively.

What you offer
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce, or similar disciplines
  • Experience in Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory roles with a solid understanding of Australian privacy regulations and frameworks for retail financial services
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, with excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key drivers and solutions
  • An inquisitive, critical, and independent thinker who takes responsibility for complex tasks
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
