Base pay range

A$115,000.00/yr - A$125,000.00/yr

Headland Technology Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Service Technician to join our team in East Brisbane, Queensland. This full-time role will involve providing technical support and maintenance for our range of sheet metal machines. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic issues with sheet metal machines
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical components and control systems
  • Liaise with operators and technicians to understand and resolve equipment problems
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to improve machine performance and reliability
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and outcomes
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on the proper operation of equipment
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements
Qualifications
  • Factory trained in TRUMPF technology (Laser / Fiber)
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic and or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Service Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment and with our own brands
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with electrical and electronic systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
  • Initiative, attention to detail and a commitment to workplace health and safety
