Exciting opportunity to join one of Melbourne's largest municipalities. The City of Brimbank is the second largest municipality in metropolitan Melbourne. It's located 10 kilometres west of Melbourne and is a gateway to Melbourne's western suburbs and the region. Brimbank is highly multicultural, with half its 196,000+ residents born overseas and more than 160 languages spoken.

This fast-evolving City comprises 25 suburbs and the five key activity centres of Sunshine, St Albans, Deer Park, Sydenham and Keilor. We are currently seeking a Full Time Temporary staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

• Reporting to the Climate Emergency Coordinator, we are seeking a Utilities Management Officer who can bring:
• Specialised technical knowledge and industry expertise in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of functional utilities best practice, principles and methods.
• Understanding of Federal and State Government policies and guidelines relating to energy sector and environmental sustainability.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to set parameters, research and utilise new products, resources and/or methods for delivery of strategic objectives.
• Expert level computer competency in spreadsheets and database applications.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
• Demonstrated work experience and specialised technical expertise in the energy sector.
• Expert level computer literacy in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Local government experience is desirable.
