About Yamagen

Yamagen is a modern Japanese izakaya-style restaurant featuring a chic Tokyo-inspired ambiance. It offers a range of traditional and innovative dishes, including sashimi, sushi, robata grilled items, and Omakase experiences, complemented by an extensive whisky and sake collection.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, talented Commis Chef to join Yamagen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a team-oriented attitude, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce dishes to high standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain an efficient kitchen.
  • Attend to guest needs to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
  • Assist with ordering and kitchen administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Follow established procedures and contribute to a professional environment.
  • Support other kitchen duties as directed.
  • Foster positive relationships within the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of food products and safety guidelines.
