Bunbury, Western Australia Department of Education, Western Australia Full time

We are seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood and Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Located in the heart of Bunbury, approximately 170 kilometres south of Perth, Carey Park Primary School (PS) caters for around 280 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our modern, multi-storey school building has been purposefully designed to maximise student engagement, with learning spaces that connect seamlessly to outdoor environments. In 2013, we proudly achieved Independent Public-School status, a recognition of our strong governance and commitment to excellence.

Carey Park Primary School has a rich history, strong traditions, and a proud identity. Our ' Choose Respect' initiative is embedded across the school, fostering a culture of care, kindness, and consideration. This approach is strongly supported by our community, with well-established partnerships between the school, families, and local organisations reinforcing our shared values.

We are seeking passionate, collaborative, and dedicated teachers—both classroom and specialist—to join our dynamic and supportive team. A commitment to high-quality teaching, pastoral care, and positive relationships will ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Find out more about our school by visiting or Schools Online .

The Role

We invite passionate, motivated, and highly skilled educators to join Carey Park PS, where we strive to improve outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole‑school approaches—including explicit teaching and high‑impact instructional strategies aligned with our school values of Challenge, Achieve, Respect, Encourage (CARE).

Applicants should exhibit a strong capacity to collaboratively plan and deliver differentiated, engaging programs, underpinned by deep knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum. We highly value applicants who embrace targeted strategies to enhance Literacy and Numeracy concept development, as well as contribute to school-wide frameworks, such as the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) program.

Applicants who are committed to building positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community—and who practise cultural responsiveness—will be highly regarded. We pride ourselves on the diversity within our Carey Park community, supported by our on-site Child and Parent Centre, which facilitates strong early intervention and family support to nurture social and emotional wellbeing.

We are looking for educators who create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where every child feels valued and connected. Ideal applicants are innovative, reflective, and collaborative—actively engaging in Professional Learning Communities, embracing instructional coaching, and contributing to our culture of collective leadership and continuous improvement.
