Job Description

Yamagen, part of EVT, is seeking a motivated, talented, and vibrant Commis Chef to bring high standards and creativity to our high-energy, fast-paced, and award-winning restaurant Yamagen. The ideal candidate will have a "team-first" attitude, a passion for culinary excellence, and drive to succeed in this industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and producing dishes to the highest standards.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure an efficient kitchen environment.
  • Attending to guest needs to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Ordering and general administration tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
  • Following established standard operating procedures.
  • Contributing to a learning and professional environment.
  • Carrying out duties as directed by senior kitchen staff.
  • Maintaining good relationships with team members.
  • Keeping updated on food products and safety guidelines.
