Fundraising & Philanthropy Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising & Philanthropy Manager to provide philanthropic leadership and management to YMCA Victoria. You will oversee all aspects of philanthropic giving and be responsible for building a healthy donor and grant pipeline to support YMCA Victoria's benevolent work. This includes developing an improved Fundraising Strategy to secure financial support for people experiencing disadvantage in Victoria.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Business Development, the Fundraising & Philanthropy Manager will provide philanthropic leadership and management to YMCA Victoria. Overseeing all aspects of philanthropic giving, you'll be responsible for building a healthy and engaged donor and grant pipeline to support YMCA Victoria's benevolent work. This includes the development of an improved YMCA Victoria's Fundraising Strategy, which aims to secure financial support to positively impact people experiencing disadvantage in Victoria.

This role will also work closely with the Grants Manager and the Partnerships Manager to help cross-collaboration. You will also be responsible for vetting funding sources through to quality acquittal processes, fostering strong relationships with relevant trusts, bodies and foundations to support the organisation's benevolent work. The Fundraising & Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for ensuring that benevolence compliance is met across all entities and structures.

We have a hybrid working model, between working from home and our State Office in Box Hill. This is a permanent full-time role; the remuneration for this role is up to $123,990 plus super and we have a hybrid working model, between working from home and our State Office in Box Hill.

• Provide philanthropic leadership and management to YMCA Victoria.
• Oversee all aspects of philanthropic giving and build a donor and grant pipeline.
• Develop and implement YMCA Victoria's Fundraising Strategy to secure financial support for beneficiaries.
• Collaborate with the Grants Manager and the Partnerships Manager to enable cross-collaboration.
• Vet funding sources through to quality acquittal processes and foster relationships with trusts, bodies and foundations.
• Ensure benevolence compliance is met across all entities and structures.
• Support a hybrid working model (Box Hill Office and remote work).

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in successful grant submissions with a minimum of three years' experience in a related field at a senior level. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proven track record of project management, and strong time management abilities. Other relevant responsibilities include:

• Financial management skills – experience with financial projections, budgeting, and budget management.
• Strong experience with fundraising best practice and relevant charity legislation; experience using donor and grant management software.
• Experience or understanding of community programs operations and community fundraising.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with a high level of initiative and self-motivation; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Current Victorian Driver's License
• Relevant qualification in philanthropy, fundraising or marketing
• FIA Code Course
