About the job

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supervisor Maintenance Delivery to join the newly established Maintenance Execution team, based at our Happy Valley workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team at the forefront of driving innovation and best practice in asset maintenance. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of maintenance Mechanical & Electrical trades to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance and capital delivery of water and wastewater assets across the southern region of South Australia.

About the Person

Our ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong experience in maintenance execution and team management. They excel at overseeing trades, ensuring safe and efficient maintenance of water and wastewater assets, and driving continuous improvement. With solid problem-solving skills and a strong grasp of safety, compliance, and asset management, they can work both independently and collaboratively. Effective communication, leadership, and proficiency in maintenance systems are essential. Experience in project management, mentoring, and innovation is highly regarded. Flexibility to work in regional areas, varied environments, and on-call is required.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing the team to achieve operational and maintenance goals.
  • Driving safety leadership and compliance with WHS standards.
  • Delivering high-quality maintenance and capital project outcomes within budget, scope, and timelines.
  • Demonstrating safety leadership by being responsible for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others (e.g., fit for work, compliance with safe systems).
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promoting innovation and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
  • Ensuring all works are executed in accordance with technical, regulatory, compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Role modelling corporate values and driving continuous improvement, culture change and greater staff engagement in the team.
Your success in this role will come from
  • Qualifications in engineering/trade or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing maintenance execution teams.
  • Clear understanding of work strategy, planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance and capital delivery works.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams with focus on organisational culture development.
  • Extensive experience in the management of safety and risk.
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives, leading and communicating changes.
  • Experience in water/wastewater operation, maintenance and project delivery.
  • Hold a valid driver's license. (Essential)
